Mike Root presents “A desire to travel leads to photography” Gallery Conversation.

Mike Root shares his travel images and expertise in capturing them.

The Robert Floyd Photo Gallery, Southampton, announces a new Gallery Conversation:

Mike Root loved to travel yet was disappointed in the photographs that he made on his journeys.  It led Mike to want to learn more about photography.  He then eagerly set out to learn photography well.

Mike Root will  

• show 3 - 5 images of his early attempts at capturing places he visited circa 2001, 2006, 201, etc. 
• Mike will continue with The Floyd Gallery's Newfoundland photo adventure that he coordinated in 2015.  
• He’ll then proceed chronologically to the latest of his 18 months of travel, which includes Alaska in September '16, Iceland in May  '17, Norway in September '17 and New Zealand in January '18. 
• Mike will share 10 - 15 or so images of each international trip highlighting the moment of capture and the strengths of each image.
