The Gallery successfully conducted a Yearlong Intermediate Photo Workshop fo 8 photographers. These participants met last year for 10 Wedesday evening sessions followed immediately by a different Sunday morning field trip that ranged from Cummington, MA to Litchfield, CT and Stockbridge, MA to Boston, MA. Images created on the field trips were critiqued in the following class session. Also, during the class sessions, tips and techniques were shared to prepare for the upcoming field trips.
Field trips included adventures with
- wildflowers
- butterflies
- landscapes
- environmental portraits
- waterfalls
- Revolutionary War enactment
- Brimfield
- Snow farm crafts
- Norman Rockwell's Christmas re-enactment
- Amherst Orchard Show
- and that awesome Sunday Northampton brunch.
Every participant grew substantially and progressed to their next level building on their present abilities. They all came away with a clearer sense of direction in capturing a variety of subject matter. All eight photographers worked hard and had fun along the way. Very proud of them and their achievements.
All received a Gallery exhibit invitation and will receive an earned and deserved Certificate of Merit having completed a successful Intermediate Photo Workshop.
