“NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY: BEYOND THE FIRST STEP” WORKSHOP

This is my favorite workshop. Better presented, it actually is "Find Waldo." A 'master' class on cropping, where and why...and what is our story? Limited enrollment.Many register over and over. Homework? Natch...

Now that we know the basics of camera operation and understand photographic techniques, the next step involves defining a vision.

We are now ready for an extensive discussion of direction and new areas of exploration. Investigate how to capture an image that shows something more than simply a pretty scene.

We learn so much together now. Join us as we explore:

• Exposure Refresher.
• Quality of light.
• Sharper images.
• Add depth to your images.
• Lots and lots of image critiques to hone our composition skills.
• Optimal camera settings.
• Mindfulness. How to concentrate on what we feel before we click the shutter.
• How to isolate what we see in nature.
• Selective focus.
• Many valuable tips to share.
• What makes a 'good' image. Choosing and working with a subject.
• Background control.
• Capture silhouettes and shadows.

Homework.

• I will personally share time with you in a Gallery session for any morning class you may miss, no worries.
• Learn to anticipate the moment and visually communicate your ideas.
• All skill levels are welcome.

We will challenge our fellow photographers to contemplate other angles, views, concepts, and compositions.

We will let our imagination loose and become a better photographer!
