Oh the weather outside is frightful…
:The Floyd Gallery Learning Center graduates and their master prints.
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire…err, coffee* is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….
…and by the way not any ol’ coffee, *Slambovian Circus of Dreams’s coffee! Our Ed Judge, chocolate and coffe connoisseur, might be impressed. So, today is an official snow day. No point going outside even to retrieve the morning paper under 9 inches of wet snow. The paper delivery person no longer delivers it to the porch within a robed arm grab. More time to catch up on stuff, important or not.
Congratulations go out to our most successful Floyd Photo Learning Center participants. Roger Lobdell and I co-instruct the quarter-annual “The Why of Black and White Photography” workshop, Levels 1 and 2. Sunday afternoon five graduates returned to The Gallery to offer a spectacular Artist Gallery Conversation each presenting five of their master prints created during the workshop. Each print is worthy of exhibit in its own right.
What was so evident was their increased confidence in self and their ability to safely experiment. Oh yes, there was pide…subtle and refresing. Roger and I are proud and confident our efforts bring photographer to the next level for the benefit and pleasure for us all.
Level 1 workshop graduates:
“The Why of Black and White Photography” workshop participant Barry Farber, M.D., Amherst

Level 2 workshop graduates:

“The Why of Black and White Photography” workshop participant Jack Grimaldi, Ludlow

Roger and I continue our time and efforts to offer these two unique photo workshops this Saturday, MAR 17. What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
